The gameplay and controls in this third adventure are comparable to those in the series' first two games. Arrow keys can be used to control Fireboy. He is vulnerable to water impediments by nature. Keep Fire Boy away from such traps as they will be put out if it comes into contact with water puddles. He has little trouble moving through lava puddles. The WASD keys can be used to control The Water Girl, and the same reasoning holds true for her. The sole distinction is that it can readily pass through puddles of water despite being impervious to them. She is water elemental by nature, yet lava pools are fatal to her. On coming into contact with lava, it will burn off. Be careful!
